Key Accountabilities

  • UTMSR - Meter Reading / Collection Duties — West Roxbury
  • Pedestrian walking routes
  • Automated meter reading routes
  • Soft off & On's
  • ERT (Encoder Receiver Transmitter) changes
  • Investigate / Resolve LTEs (long term estimates)
  • Investigate / Resolve non registering ERT's
  • Daily field collections
  • Physical offs & meter removals
  • UTMSR - Meter Helper Duties - Wilmington
  • Maintain cleanliness of the meter shop
  • Moves meters both within the shop and the service group locations
  • Removes old stickers, masks both index and meter ID number
  • Condemns meter and removes ERT's on small capacity meters (425C.F.H> and under)
  • Performs all duties related to job content as assigned and render assistance when and where needed.

Qualifications

Must have a high school diploma or the equivalent.

Must have good mechanical aptitude and ability, high degree of dependability, and capable of

exercising good judgment.

  • Must pass DOT physical and qualifying tests to enter Department.
  • Must have valid driver's license and be an approved driver of Company vehicles.
  • D.O.T. drug testing is a requirement for this position.

Please be advised that due to the nature of this position, incumbents are subject to federal Drug & Alcohol safety regulations governing US Department of Transportation ("DOT") covered positions, including the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) and Pipeline Hazardous Material Safety Administration (PHMSA). As such, the Company’s testing programs and policies regarding the use of federally prohibited drugs or alcohol, for recreational or medical purposes, will remain in effect for these safety-sensitive, DOT covered positions.
