National Grid is hiring a Workforce Planning Analyst - This role will be based from our Warwick office - Hybrid working.
Job Purpose
As a Workforce Planning Analyst, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our workforce within Asset Operations (AO). Working closely with multiple business units, you’ll help us understand current and future headcount needs, ensuring we have the right people in the right place at the right time.You’ll be part of our Operational Competency team, managing analytics across workforce planning, training, and competence. Your insights will help AO leadership make informed decisions, develop workforce plans, and deliver resourcing strategies that meet business priorities.
What you'll do
- Support the development of an integrated people strategy and resourcing plan aligned with business goals.
- Provide insights and facilitate dialogue across Asset Operations regarding strategic workforce planning.
- Identify and mitigate risks related to the workforce plan, understanding demand and recruitment needs.
- Analyse and manipulate complex data from multiple fields to create readable reports for high-level stakeholders.
- Engage with demanding stakeholders, ensuring that their detail-oriented needs are met.
About you
- Strong influencing and analytical skills, with the ability to extract accurate and meaningful information from data.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of managing relationships with demanding stakeholders.
- Proficient in IT and data skills, particularly MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Power BI.
- Demonstrated initiative and sound judgement in utilising data modelling techniques to provide strategic recommendations.
- Background in large matrix management organisations, with the ability to gather and understand data from different datasets.
- Experience in workforce capability planning and headcount forecasting, with familiarity in reporting systems would be helpful.
What you'll get
A competitive salary around £48,000 - £55,000 – dependent on capability.
As well as your base salary, you will receive a bonus based on personal and company performance and a competitive contributory pension scheme where we will double match your contribution to a maximum company contribution of 12%.
