What You'll Be Doing

 

As a Trainee Associate Project Manager, you’ll help deliver critical infrastructure projects — from planning through to completion. You’ll:

 

 

 

  • Lead or support the delivery of construction projects, ensuring they meet time, cost, and quality targets.
  • Engage with stakeholders and customers to ensure satisfaction and resolve issues.
  • Manage project documentation, governance, and reporting.
  • Oversee risk management, financial forecasting, and contractor performance.
  • Ensure compliance with Construction Design and Management (CDM) regulations and SHESQ standards.

 

 

 

This is a mobile role requiring regular travel to sites across the region. A full UK driving licence is essential, and you’ll be provided with a company car (mandatory for the role; subject to BIK tax, no cash alternative).

Who We're Looking For

 

You’ll need one of the following qualifications plus at least one year of relevant experience in project management or a similar role:

 

 

 

  • HNC/HND, ONC or BTEC Level 3 in Health & Safety, Environmental, Business/Project Management, or Financial Management
  • Degree in any of the above fields
  • Other subjects may be considered if you have GCSEs in Maths and English

 

 

 

Expect to cover over 10,000 miles annually across our regions in England and Wales (North, Central or Southern Regions). You’ll be onsite for up to five days a week, which may include overnight stays in pre-booked accommodation. In addition to your site travels, you’ll also attend classroom training at our training centre in Eakring, Newark, requiring some overnight stays away from home during the training period.

  • London/South – London, M4 corridor (Bristol to Reading), Didcott, Iver, South Wales (Port Talbot).
