Senior Analyst - Tax

Business Unit:  Finance and Enterprise Business Services
Requisition Number:  12965

This is a broad tax role combining tax, data and AI, with exposure across multiple tax disciplines. No previous tax experience is needed, just strong analytical skills and a willingness to learn.

Reporting to a UK Tax Manager, this is a mixed tax role for an existing tax professional or an accounting or finance professional looking to broaden their experience into tax. It combines hands-on exposure to corporation tax, VAT, employment taxes and financial reporting with opportunities to build on strengths in controls and data. The role will also provide opportunities to gain experience in process improvement, automation and AI-enabled ways of working to improve how a major UK tax function operates. The successful candidate will be supported by experienced colleagues across the tax and finance functions.

This role will be based out of Warwick, and we’d hope to see you at least two days per week but you’re welcome to be in the office more often if that would work best for you. We’re happy to discuss any additional flexibility in working patterns or requirements that you feel could help to make this job work for you!

Year-End Business Support

  • Support the tax team through the year-end close period including support with entity level inputs, consolidation and disclosure activities
  • Support with US SOX controls

  • Practical knowledge of UK tax or the ability and motivation to develop it quickly.
  • Curiosity about how automation and AI can improve tax processes, controls and decision-making.
  • Good technology skills and a willingness to work with data and learn new applications and technologies.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain outputs to a potentially non-tax or non-finance audience.
  • Energised by working collaboratively across a team and across wider business projects
  • Self-starter capable working off own initiative and at pace when required.
