About the role
At National Grid, we're looking for a passionate and proactive Recruiter to join our Early Careers team on a 9-month fixed-term contract. Our team is responsible for attracting, selecting and onboarding talented individuals across our Graduate, Industrial Placement, Internship and Apprentice programmes, helping to build the future workforce that will drive the energy transition.
As an Early Careers Recruiter, you'll play a key role in delivering an exceptional candidate experience while partnering closely with stakeholders across the business. You'll help attract diverse, high-calibre talent and strengthen National Grid's position as an employer of choice for early careers candidates.
The role is a hybrid role with our base office in Warwick, there will be also be travel involved to sites across the UK for our assessment centres.
Due to the nature of this role, you must be able to drive with a full UK driving licence.
Please note interviews will be held for this role on week commencing 27th July.
What you'll do
As part of our Early Careers Recruitment team, you'll:
- Manage the end-to-end recruitment process for early careers opportunities, from vacancy creation and candidate sourcing through to offer management and onboarding.
- Act as a trusted recruitment partner to hiring managers, providing advice and support to build effective talent attraction strategies.
- Develop engaging job adverts and recruitment campaigns that attract high-quality and diverse talent pools.
- Plan and deliver careers fairs, networking events, virtual information sessions and employer branding activities.
- Proactively source and engage prospective candidates, building strong relationships and creating a positive candidate journey throughout the recruitment process.
- Promote National Grid's employee value proposition, benefits and career opportunities to enhance our employer brand within the early careers market.
What you'll need
We're looking for someone who can demonstrate:
- Previous experience within Recruitment or Talent Acquisition, ideally with exposure to graduate, apprentice or early careers hiring.
- Excellent stakeholder management and relationship-building skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively across all levels of the business.
- Strong organisational and project management capabilities, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- High levels of attention to detail, strong follow-up skills and a commitment to delivering an outstanding candidate experience.
- A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel when required.
What would be great to have
- Experience using sourcing tools such as LinkedIn Recruiter.
- The ability to analyse and interpret recruitment data to support hiring decisions and continuous improvement.
What you'll get
A competitive salary between £48,374 - £57,012.50 per annum– dependent on capability.
As well as your base salary, you will receive a bonus based on personal and company performance and a competitive contributory pension scheme where we will double match your contribution to a maximum company contribution of 12%.
