As Quality Assurance Manager you’ll develop, implement and maintain an effective ISO internal audit programme for the integrated management system and work with the business to ensure that NGET’s Quality Management System (QMS) meets the requirements of ISO 9001. You’ll support the business to help develop a culture of quality and customer focus throughout the organisation, establishing and implementing an effective Supplier Quality Assurance Strategy for NGET
Key Accountabilities
- Manage the third-party preparation and external certification within NGET to maintain ISO 9001, 14001, 45001, 55001 certifications working closely with stakeholders across the business.
- Develop and manage data insights and reporting from ISO internal audit and ISO external certifications programmes to NGET Exec.
- Develop, implement and assure a Quality Management System (QMS) integrated with occupational safety, environmental and asset management systems.
- Chair and deliver Integrated Management System Reviews and provide reporting on Quality system performance to leadership.
- Manage staff to ensure that there is appropriate quality management support, communication, and awareness to the business.
- Work with the business Delivery Vehicles to understand their needs regarding quality and develop the QMS to support them and those of the NGET Customers.
- Drive the NGET business to be Customer focussed where efficient cost-effective processes are developed, aligned to their needs.
- Use sound objective data to identify improvements to the Quality Management System and work with the DVs and the NGET Exec to implement these.
- Develop and communicate standard expectations on quality competence, career pathways for key quality roles.
We’re flexible on where you are based but there will be a need to travel to Warwick for meetings on a regular basis, as well as extensive travel throughout England and Wales to site as and when required.
What you'll need
We’re looking for someone with hands-on experience of implementing and managing ISO9001 across a large-scale organisation in compliance with IS0 9001 to achieve certification.
You’ll need an understanding of the wider NGET business or a heavy infrastructure engineer company, as well as the quality challenges relating to it, coupled with Quality Assurance and Internal Audit experience.
Resilient with the confidence and courage to challenge behaviours and issues, you’ll have the ability to think of innovative new ways in which to engage the business.
You’ll be experienced in managing quality activities and providing pre and post contract procurement quality support for goods, services and materials supplied to NGET.
Degree level qualified, or with significant relevant business quality experience, you’ll have a Lead Auditor (ISO 9001) qualification and ideally be a member of Chartered Quality Institute.
