National Grid is hiring a Performance Improvement Lead  - Based from Warwick - Hybrid working policy.

How would you ensure delivery of improvement and efficiency projects?

 

We are offering an excellent opportunity for a Performance Improvement Lead to advance our performance improvement agenda across all Asset Operations business areas. This will give you exposure across the whole business at all levels which is great for your development and raising your profile, together with the flexibility and freedom to handle your own workload. This role comes with hybrid working – a mix of home, office and sites.

 

You’ll be part of a fantastic team and play a pivotal role in transforming our business, through data-driven insights and driving continuous improvement. As a key contributor, you will lead on improvement projects across the Asset Operations business which maintains the high voltage electricity network in England and Wales. That includes c.4,500 miles of overhead line, about 900 miles of underground cable and more than 300 substations.

 

Utilising business insight and analytics, you will collaborate closely with the whole business to identify areas for improvement. You will actively contribute to process development and improvement initiatives, whilst also engaging with leaders and teams to implement continuous improvement behaviours, methodologies, and tools to maintain progress. This role has a wide scope which will bring a large amount of variation in terms of identifying business issues (performance gaps), analysing the root cause and implementing effective solutions.

About you

 

To thrive in this role we are looking for you to have a process improvement background with proven experience of process improvements and Lean methodologies. A pro-active problem spotter and solution provider with the drive and tenacity to deliver process improvements projects, creating an environment for continuous success. You’ll be good at interacting with all types of people and can adapt your style effortlessly, making an impact at all levels.

 

  • Proven experience of leading/delivering business improvement projects
  • Lean Six Sigma – Green Belt
  • Proficient in data analysis and performance reporting using MS office
  • Understanding of E2E process journeys
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and management skills
