Reporting to the Vice President of Supply Chain Excellence, this role plays a critical part in strengthening supply chain resilience and value from the supply chain. As Head of Supply Chain Risk & Performance, you’ll lead the enterprise approach to third party risk—setting the strategy, shaping enabling technology and delivering clear, decision ready insight for senior leaders.
You’ll embed strong governance and controls across the end to end supplier lifecycle, working closely with Business Owners, Category teams and Procurement Risk & Compliance to manage risk and unlock opportunity. You’ll also drive a unified, data led demand planning approach, improving visibility, performance and commercial decision making across the organisation.
This is a global role. With direct reports located across various National Grid locations. The role is based out of our Warwick office. We’re happy to discuss any additional flexibility in working patterns or requirements that you feel could help to make this job work for you!
What You’ll Do:
- Own and evolve the end to end third party risk management strategy across the supply chain
- Lead supply chain risk technology, data and enterprise level reporting to deliver decision ready insight
- Translate internal data and market intelligence into clear risk, resilience and continuity actions
- Partner with Category teams to identify vulnerabilities and drive effective mitigation plans
- Embed strong governance, policies and controls across the full supplier lifecycle
- Lead an enterprise wide, data driven approach to demand planning and forecasting
- Strengthen supplier performance, insight and reputation through governance, KPIs and Voice of the Supplier feedback
- Build and lead a high performing team through coaching, capability development and succession planning
What You’ll Have:
- Significant senior-level experience in Third Party Risk Management, supplier risk, supply chain governance, within a complex and regulated environment.
- Strong understanding of supply chain risk, resilience, demand planning, and supplier performance
- Strong analytical capability, with the ability to convert complex data and risk signals into clear executive-level insights.
- Experience leading technology-enabled change, including data, reporting, and risk platforms.
- Demonstrated ability to influence senior stakeholders and partner effectively across functions and geographies.
- Proven people leadership experience, with a track record of building and developing high-performing teams.

What You'll Get:
Competitive salary dependent on experience.
As well as your base salary, you will receive a bonus based on personal and company performance with on target being 20% (with a maximum of 40%) and a competitive contributory pension scheme where we will double match your contribution to a maximum company contribution of 12% and company electric car or cash alternative.
