We’re looking for a passionate FP&A Analyst - Reporting & Performance to support with the consolidation, analysis, and presentation of financial performance insights across the NGED Business, ensuring that senior leadership has timely, accurate, and actionable financial information to support strategic decisions. With a focus on financial & capital investment performance, regulatory reporting, and operational excellence, the role combines technical financial expertise with strong business partnering and data insight capabilities.

 

This role is based out of our Bristol Avonbank or Warwick office, and we’d hope to see you at least two days per week but you’re welcome to be in the office more often if that would work best for you. The role will require a reasonable amount of travel to locations across South Wales and the Southwest to provide local support to the engineering function.

What You’ll Do:

  • Deliver accurate monthly performance reporting, including P&L, investment analysis, and insightful commentary.
  • Develop and maintain financial variance analysis models, to provide clear volume and value analysis against key financial categories, ensuring insight is delivered to busi-ness partners and budget holders.
  • Review month-end results, identify variances, and provide clear analysis through dashboards, KPIs, and financial models.
  • Consolidate data across regions to provide NGED-wide performance insights.
  • Partner with Finance Business Partners and operational teams to support decision-making through financial modelling, scenario analysis, and business case development.
  • Drive continuous improvement of FP&A processes, reporting tools, and data quality, including system optimisation and automation.
  • Support strategic initiatives, system upgrades, and ad hoc analysis for senior stakeholders.

What You’ll Have

  • Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent) with post-qualification experience in FP&A, management reporting, or financial analysis roles.
  • Experience in energy, utilities, infrastructure, or other capital-intensive industries is highly desirable.
  • Strong proficiency in Excel (financial modelling, data analysis) and PowerPoint.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage large, complex data sets and consolidate reporting across multiple entities.
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills, with the ability to translate data into meaningful business insights.

What You'll Get:

Up to £57,000– dependent on capability.

 

As well as your base salary you will receive a bonus based on personal and company performance and a competitive contributory pension scheme where we will double match your contribution to a maximum company contribution of 12%.
