National Grid is hiring an ER Administrator to provide administrative support to the Employee Relations & Case Management team.  

As an ER Adminstrator you will be responsible for supporting employee processes (such as Disciplinary, Grievance; Performance Improvement, Discrimination Bullying & Harassment, Absence) across National Grid. You will assist the team to ensure that Investigations/meetings are arranged promptly, communicated as appropriate and all associated records stored securely. 

The role is hybrid with our base office in Warwick and you can enjoy working from the office twice a week and the rest from home.

What you'll do

 

  • Provide support for query management for Cases team
  • Administer all invites, letters and documentation relating to ER processes
  • Obtain and organise meetings for Decision Makers and investigation managers for processes as required, ensuring speedy deployment to ensure processes are expedited.
  • Arrange meeting rooms as appropriate for meetings/processes, ensuring all parties are informed of venues and times
  • Understand company policies/processes to advise on the appropriate early course of action (e.g. where to start in the relevant procedure) and /or refer to ER advisors/specialists as necessary.
  • On occasion, support processes as Notetaker
  • Provide administration support for all ER Cases
  • Ensure investigation reports are retained and saved accordingly checking for completeness of documentation.
  • Monitor the investigation timeline, escalating within the ER team as appropriate
  • Ensure all files/documentation are complete and contain all of the relevant documentation and that they are retained securely, in an organised manner on SharePoint
  • Administer scheduling activity and related admin for all cases/processes
  • As required, source and organise documents for inclusion in Employment Tribunal bundles and Data requests.
  • Be proactive in identifying & resolving administrative issues
  • Administer any training activities the department runs; scheduling dates, organising the venue, and liaising with delegates and the ERA/ERS to ensure the session is fully arranged
  • Administer any ad hoc activities which the ER/Cases team are asked to undertake
  • Arrange ER Case Management training programmes, liaising with ERAs as appropriate
  • .Attendance at ER & Case Management team meetings
  • Lead minor project work across the team as appropriate when requested

What you'll need

 

  • Proven administration experience 
  • An understanding of and ability to interpret company policies, especially those most pertinent to case activity/employee conduct (such as Disciplinary, Code of Ethics, Grievance, Performance Improvement, Managing Sickness Absence, Respect at Work etc.)
  • Understand the priority & requirements of email/teams/telephone queries and ensure the matter is passed to the appropriate team member or otherwise actioned
  • Awareness of GDPR and confidentiality in all ER matters
  • Skilled with Word; PowerPoint and Excel; SharePoint, outlook applications & familiar with Service Now & Success Factors
  • Ability to run reports for specified requirements.
  • Organised and attentive to detail, ability to multi-task and prioritise as required

A competitive salary between £33,323 - £36,262.50 per annum – dependent on capability.
