National Grid is hiring a Digital Product Manager - This position is based from our Warwick office however we offer flexible hybrid working options.
Job Purpose
In this role you’ll be managing our digital product squads, aligning with our Digital Twin Strategy. You’ll be leading the deployment of digital technologies to optimise the Electricity Network Design for energy generation, transmission, and demand for England and Wales.
You’ll be overseeing the lifecycle of an entire line of products that will help make Net Zero happen. Many of these products are completely bespoke, designed and created in-house.
You’ll be involved in everything from product design to production, mapping the digital landscape and defining the long-term roadmap.
This is a job for those with aspirations for future leadership. You’ll be working on multiple Network Design related product with enormous scope and multi-million-pound investment. You’ll be given great autonomy and the opportunity to deliver meaningful change at the heart of the energy transition.
What You'll Do
· Managing the funding and sanction processes to enable the teams to deliver the right content.
· Communicating and building strong, collaborative relationships with senior management. This is the biggest part of the role. You will influence attitudes, decisions and actions for mutual benefit and keep colleagues updated on digital progress.
· Driving and communicating a digital roadmap for your product line and implementing systems such as team structures and ways of working.
· Understanding the business needs, researching the market and either introducing or building market leading digital products.
· Ensuring adoption and value realisation of digital products through customer centric design and value analysis.
· Ensuring your team members build good relationships with relevant stakeholders. They must be professional, open, collaborative, and able to challenge others and be challenged themselves in an amicable, respectful way.
· Developing a well-balanced, cross-functional team by ensuring learning opportunities are identified and optimised, and people are given the support they need.
· Acting as the ultimate escalation point for issue resolution within your field.
· Planning and leading scoping and priority setting activities.
· Building on enduring digital product capability to enable continuous digital improvement and align to our digital twin strategy.
About You
- Product Management, Managing and developing products or services through their full life cycle from inception, growth, maturity, decline to retirement.
- Financial Management, Supporting the effective use and control of financial resources.
- Stakeholder and Relationship Management, Influencing stakeholder attitudes, decisions, and actions for mutual benefit.
- Organisational Change Management, planning, designing, and implementing activities to transition the organisation and people to the required future state.
- Methods and tools, ensuring methods and tools are adopted and used effectively throughout the organisation.

What You'll Get
A competitive salary between £77,000 – £91,000 dependent on capability
As well as your base salary, you will receive a bonus of up to 30% of your salary for stretch performance and a competitive contributory pension scheme where we will double match your contribution to a maximum company contribution of 12%.
