About us

At National Grid, we keep people connected and society moving. But it’s so much more than that. National Grid provides the environment to make it happen. As we build momentum in the energy transition for all, we don’t plan on leaving any of our customers in the dark. So, join us as a Data Culture Lead, and find your superpower.

National Grid is hiring a Data Culture Lead to join our Technology team, based at our Warwick office, with hybrid working.

You’ll play a key role in shaping and embedding a strong data‑driven culture across the organisation, enabling teams to make informed decisions and maximise the value of data to support critical operations across our enterprise.

About The Role

With over 33,000 colleagues across National Grid, building a strong, inclusive, and value‑driven data culture is critical to how we operate today—and how we’ll succeed tomorrow. As Data Culture Lead, you’ll play a pivotal role in elevating data capability to power the next chapter of our organisation.

Sitting at the heart of a rapidly growing and forward‑thinking Data Office, you’ll help lead a profound cultural transformation—reshaping how decisions are made, how innovation happens, and how value is created across the business. Your mission is clear and ambitious: to embed data at the centre of everything we do. From championing data and AI literacy to driving lasting behavioural change, you’ll ensure data‑driven decision‑making becomes part of our everyday DNA.

Working across business units and leadership teams, you’ll inspire confidence and curiosity in data, shining a spotlight on pioneering initiatives and breakthrough thinking. You’ll help translate advanced technologies—from generative AI to emerging frontier innovations—into meaningful, organisation‑wide impact. Through engaging initiatives, storytelling, and strategic influence, you’ll build consistent, confident ways of working with data, empowering our people and enabling smarter, faster, and more impactful outcomes for our customers and communities.
