National Grid is hiring a Data Assurance Analyst - Cyber
This position can be based from our Warwick, Leeds, London, Bristol or Derby offices. Offering a flexible hybrid working model.
Job Purpose
To coordinate and support the delivery of cyber asset data and project outcomes across the asset lifecycle. This includes ensuring data quality, project visibility, and compliance with NIS regulations and internal standards. The role bridges cyber data assurance with project coordination, enabling informed decision-making and continuous improvement across ET. This position is crucial as it sits at the beginning of any cyber and control work at National Grid, transforming regulatory requirements into actionable business requirements.
What you'll do
Project Coordination
- Experience in coordinating cyber-related projects across portfolio and assurance teams, maintaining a unified view of project statuses and deliverables.
- Proficient in using tools such as Power BI and Excel to generate dashboards and reports that enhance visibility and decision-making.
- Act as a central point of contact for project-related queries and updates, maintaining the workload tracker for project coordination activities.
- Strong facilitation skills for communication and alignment between project teams and stakeholders, including sharing information with business areas such as supply chain.
Data Management
- Collaborate with the Suppliers & Asset Data team to ensure cyber asset data is accurate, current, and aligned with project needs.
- Knowledge of maintaining data integrity across systems and ensuring compliance with cyber data management processes.
- Ability to support the integration of cyber data into ET systems, managing multiple data areas and coordinating with suppliers and internal business units.
- Commitment to promoting feedback loops and process improvements across data and project workflows.
Quality Assurance
- Experience conducting internal audits and checks to verify the quality of cyber deliverables.
- Ability to identify and address gaps in cyber data or project outputs, implementing corrective actions where needed.
- Work closely with the 2nd Line Assurance team to provide data and insights from 1st Line and Lifecycle teams, supporting risk management and compliance.
- Ensure data quality and track deliverables, supporting the business in understanding any possible concerns and issues.
About you
Interpersonal, Supervisory or Management
- Strong communication skills with the ability to translate technical and data concepts into project requirements for varied audiences.
- Proven experience in project coordination and stakeholder engagement.
Technical or Specialist
- Understanding of asset data requirements and lifecycle processes. Experienced in Electricity transmission, particularly in protecting substation equipment, assets, and operational technologies is an advantage
- Strong Excel skills and proficiency in data visualisation and reporting tools (e.g., Power BI).
- Familiarity with NIS regulations and their application in asset operations.
- Experience with data extraction and manipulation from enterprise systems.
What you'll get
A competitive salary around £55,000 - £65,000 – dependent on capability
As well as your base salary, you will receive a bonus based on personal and company performance and a competitive contributory pension scheme where we will double match your contribution to a maximum company contribution of 12%.
