National Grid is hiring a Customer Account Manager - This position is based from our Warwick office however we offer flexible hybrid working options.
What You'll Do
- Lead the development of robust bids/proposals for unlicensed customer works.Through effective stakeholder engagement you will develop the commercial strategy for the bid/proposal and ensure that the scope of the works is properly understood and priced.
- Responsible for developing and negotiating contractual terms and conditions that are acceptable to both parties and by utilising your commercial acumen and influencing skills ensure that all commercial risk is identified and managed.
- Proactively manage portfolio of contracts to ensure NGET meets its contractual obligations, delivers the contracts profitability and maintains cash flow by preparing and submitting (where applicable) timely contract notifications, programmes, progress reports, claims, variations, payment applications and where necessary to escalate performance or contractual issues in a timely manner to ensure swift resolution.
- Lead the preparation and agreement of contract extensions
- Drive good project outcomes and customer satisfaction by actively contributing to project execution, acting as the voice of the customer. Attending key meetings and raise awareness of the commercial consequences of decisions made prior to and during the contract.
- To share knowledge, provide support to and coach other members of the team to enhance the team’s capabilities to enable ECS to deliver its objectives.
- Actively contribute to achieving a good out come for the customer and a good customer satisfaction score by leading the customer experience. To be the key point of contact for the customer, dealing with issues and concerns in a timely manner and managing the customer relationship by organising and attending key strategic meetings.
- Identify and refer new business opportunities to Business Development Manager
- Support the promotion of ECS at industry events to help achieve the ECS growth ambition.
About You
- Proven track record of leading the development of bids/proposals, negotiating contractual termsand managing complex contacts.
- Strong Negotiations Skills
- Strong experience of managing multiple stakeholders/Projects
- Demonstrable contract management experience managing complex service offering or construction works.
- Regulatory & Energy Industry Understanding.
What You'll Get
A competitive salary between £48,000 – £57,000 dependent on capability
As well as your base salary, you will receive
- 26 days holiday, plus eight statutory days, an option to buy extra holiday days, and the option to holiday swap up to 3 bank holiday days
- An annual performance incentive
- A generous pension scheme, double matched up to 6% of your salary each month. For every £1 you contribute we’ll put in another £2, so if you put in 6%, we’ll add 12% giving a total of 18% to your pension pot
