The Transmission Network Control Centre (TNCC), is on the front line of the electricity transmission system, ensuring safety and system security standards are always maintained.
Are you ready to take on a pivotal role in enhancing our operational efficiency? We are currently seeking a dedicated Workload Coordinator to join the TNCC team. In this role, you will collaborate with key stakeholders, including Asset Operations and Operational Planning, to address key workload delivery issues from a TNCC perspective.
Summary of Key Accountabilities
- Conduct Capacity Calculations to ensure optimal delivery.
- Review planned work against TNCC capacity and capability to identify potential challenges.
- Produce performance data and KPIs on workload delivery, identifying trends and root causes to drive process improvements.
- Develop the CRM Tool to integrate implementation into standard operating procedures and facilitate future enhancements.
- Collaborate with the TNCC Workplan Delivery Team Manager to smooth workload delivery for the current day and throughout the working week.
- Manage plan changes effectively within the current day and working week.
- Assist in prioritising workload during short-term overloads and resource pinch points.
- Prepare for the day ahead by serving as the operational interface for effective communication with Asset Operations on-site and Operational Planning. Ensure job requirements and start times are clearly understood.
- Act as the main point of contact for Asset Operations and Operational Planning.
This role is based at our TNCC in Warwick for 2 days per week, with the opportunity to combine with home working in line with our hybrid working policy.
What you'll need
We’re looking for someone with expert Excel and Power BI skills and ideally experience utilising a CRM system.
With excellent organisational, analytical and problems skills and the ability to assimilate information and communications in a quick and smooth fashion, you’ll possess strong stakeholder engagement skills.
Knowledge of the services carried out within the TNCC would be advantageous, as would knowledge of the technical terms used in the Control room.
You’ll be able to understand service levels for insight delivered by ourselves and our stakeholders, and have demonstrable evidence of developing and delivering performance related measures from data sets.
