About the role
National Grid Interconnectors is at the heart of UK’s transition to our net zero energy future. We operate a number of HVDC Interconnectors that connect the UK’s energy system to some of our closest neighbours, allowing energy to be imported to and exported from the UK.
As well as already owning a portfolio of HVDC Interconnectors, we’re working on developing new projects to ensure that we are able to meet the UK’s future demands for greener energy solutions.
We are currently recruiting a Contract Team Administrator to join National Grid Ventures Construction team.
As a Contract Team Administrator you will provide essential administrative support to all projects in National Grid Ventures construction. National Grid Ventures build and operate the worlds largest fleet of Interconnectors. The Contract Team Administrator will ensure efficient contract execution and coordination among various stakeholders as well as supporting team administration including digital systems, booking meeting rooms and travel.
This role is hybrid and you can enjoy working from our office in Warwick twice a week and home.
What you'll do
- Contract Administrative Support: Provide comprehensive administrative assistance to the project team, including purchase orders, administration for your contract administration system.
- Digital Systems Support the contracts team with the maintenance of key contract systems such as Built Intelligence and Coupa
- Document Management: Maintain and organise contract documentation, ensuring all records are up-to-date and access is controlled.
- Financial Administration: Assist in the management of purchase orders against project budgets, including processing invoices and tracking cost
- Project Handover Support the contracts team with collating handover documentation
- Communication: Facilitate effective communication within the project team and with external stakeholders, including managing correspondence and responding to inquiries. You will also support scheduling meetings, preparing agendas, sharepoint management and taking minutes
What you'll need
- Proven experience in an administrative role, preferably within a project environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Proficiency in Purchase Order Management
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work independently

A competitive salary between £36,343.00 - £39,549.00 per annum dependent on capability.
