We’re looking for a passionate Business Performance Analyst to join our Business Performance team!

 

The role drives transparent business performance by designing, governing and delivering best‑practice performance management and insight. It ensures that complex operational and commercial information is transformed into clear, meaningful and timely insight that supports effective decision‑making by the Executive Team and senior stakeholders. Acting as a trusted challenger and connector across the business, the role promotes accountability, highlights risks and opportunities and strengthens performance awareness. It also leads the transformation from manual reporting to automated, digital and future‑focused insight, including the effective use of emerging technologies and AI.

 

This role is based out of our offices in Warwick, for 2 days per week and can be combined with hybrid working from home.

What You'll Do

  • Build and maintain a strong network across the wider performance community and independently manage important relationships with senior leaders.
  • Support the design and management of the ET and NGET performance system so that it is best practice at driving business performance, effectively presenting information in the most dynamic and meaningful way that “joins the dots” between operational delivery and commercial performance, ensuring complex information is easily understood and appropriate to the audience to inform decision-making by the ET Executive and other senior stakeholders.
  • Drive the monthly drumbeat of performance deliverables, meeting quality criteria and deadlines.
  • Challenge the business (with both an in-year and future years focus) in the clear and transparent identification of risks, issues, dependencies, opportunities and clear, time-based, owned action plans to deliver improved performance over time. 
  • Help move the business from manual, time-intensive Management Information to automated insight through the identification and utilisation appropriate digital tools, seeking continual improvement and with an awareness and desire to harness the potential of AI.
  • Drive wider awareness across the business of business performance.
  • Play an important role in the preparation of C-Suite reports.
  • Challenge the business to provide right first-time, high-quality insight.
  • Work on the transformation of performance including the forums, digital solutions and ways of working.

What You'll Have

  • Possess a deep understanding of business performance.
  • Ability to draft reporting for an executive audience.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills including ability to challenge and be comfortable engaging with executive stakeholders.
  • Experience of getting “hands on” in a transformation project, ideally in the performance space.
  • Strong project management and organisational skills.
  • Ability to balance multiple priorities and meet strict delivery timelines.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

 

Desirable:

  • Experience working in capital and asset intensive industries, preferably energy / regulated.
  • Understand our commercial and regulatory challenges and external stakeholders are.
  • Data analysis skills with proficiency in development of Power BI dashboards including writing custom DAX functions, practical experience in Power Apps, Power Platform, Power FX (Power Platform coding language), SQL Querying.

What You'll Get

Up to £55,000 dependent on experience.

 

As well as your base salary, you will receive a bonus based on personal and company performance and competitive contributory pension scheme where we will double match your contribution to a maximum company contribution of 12%.
