National Grid is recruiting for an Asset Management PMO Lead - Warwick Based (flexible hybrid working available)

Job Purpose

Asset Management is evolving the way it plans and delivers regulatory and strategic activity across the business. We're looking for a Asset Management PMO Lead to help bring structure, visibility and momentum to that work.

In this role, you'll work across multiple workstreams to translate business requirements into clear plans, coordinate delivery activity and ensure key milestones, risks and dependencies are understood and managed. You'll play a central role in helping teams plan ahead, navigate regulatory commitments and continuously improve the way work gets delivered.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys creating clarity from complexity, bringing people together to solve problems and helping shape new processes and ways of working in a highly visible area of Asset Management.

What you'll do

  • Translate business and technical requirements into clear, measurable deliverables, plans and actions.
  • Coordinate delivery activity across multiple workstreams, helping teams stay aligned and focused on priorities.
  • Facilitate workshops, planning sessions and stakeholder discussions to build consensus and drive progress.
  • Develop and maintain integrated delivery plans, identifying milestones, dependencies and key risks.
  • Ensure governance, risks, issues, actions and decisions are captured and managed effectively.
  • Provide insightful reporting and delivery updates that support decision-making at all levels of the organisation.
  • Act as a trusted delivery partner, supporting workstream leads to overcome challenges and maintain momentum.
  • Help design, improve and embed PMO processes, standards and ways of working.
  • Support the development of a more strategic, forward-looking approach to planning regulatory activity and business delivery.
  • Drive continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to simplify processes, increase transparency and improve collaboration across teams.

About you

We're looking for a proactive and facilitative PMO professional who enjoys working across teams and creating structure in complex environments.

You'll be someone who doesn't wait to be told what to do. Instead, you'll take ownership, ask the right questions, gather information from stakeholders and help move activity forward.

You'll also bring:

  • Experience working in PMO, programme delivery, project controls or a similar delivery-focused role.
  • Strong planning and organisational skills, with the ability to translate requirements into actionable plans.
  • Experience managing governance, reporting, RAID activities and delivery tracking.
  • Excellent facilitation and stakeholder engagement skills, with the confidence to bring people together and drive outcomes.
  • A continuous improvement mindset and experience identifying opportunities to improve processes and ways of working.
  • The ability to work effectively within a matrix environment, balancing multiple priorities and stakeholders.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to tailor messages for operational teams, managers and senior leaders.
  • Experience using Microsoft 365 tools, with Power BI experience advantageous.

Experience within Asset Management, Engineering, Utilities or another regulated environment would be beneficial, but more important is your ability to build relationships, create structure and enable successful delivery across complex programmes of work.

What you'll get

A competitive salary between £50,000 – £60,000 – dependent on capability.

As well as your base salary, you will receive a bonus based on personal and company performance and a competitive contributory pension scheme where we will double match your contribution to a maximum company contribution of 12%. You will also have access to a number of flexible benefits such as a share incentive plan, salary sacrifice car and technology schemes, support via employee assistance lines and matched charity giving to name a few.
