National Grid is hiring for an Asset Engineering Assurance Service Lead - Warwick based (Hybrid working)

Job Purpose
Asset Engineering Assurance (AEA) plays a key role in supporting safe, reliable and efficient asset delivery, helping the business deliver its capital programme and Net Zero goals.
This role will act as a main point of contact between AEA and internal stakeholders, ensuring services are well understood, aligned to business priorities, and delivered effectively. You’ll build strong relationships across the organisation, helping stakeholders get the most value from AEA services while proactively managing risks and expectations.
Working alongside the AEA Service Manager, you’ll lead stakeholder engagement activity and help shape how AEA works with its internal customers.
What you'll do
- Act as a primary interface between AEA and key internal stakeholders.
- Build strong, trusted relationships to ensure AEA services meet business needs.
- Support and deliver a clear stakeholder engagement plan alongside the AEA Service Manager.
- Turn complex or technical issues into clear, practical solutions.
- Work with Internal Communications to share clear messages about AEA’s role, impact and value.
- Improve awareness of the AEA function and its contribution to business success.
- Identify and manage risks linked to stakeholder engagement, supporting effective escalation when needed.
- Support service improvement by identifying risks to delivery, improving ways of working, and increasing efficiency.
- Work with training and enablement teams to identify opportunities that improve capability and engagement.
About you
You’re a confident and proactive individual with experience working in customer‑focused environments. You’re comfortable building relationships across a large organisation and can influence, communicate, and drive improvement.
You’ll bring:
- Experience managing or supporting stakeholder or customer‑facing services.
- Strong relationship and communication skills, with the ability to explain complex topics simply.
- Experience working with multiple stakeholder groups and competing priorities.
- A proactive, organised approach, able to work independently while collaborating effectively.
- Confidence operating in complex or changing environments.
You’ll have:
- A degree or equivalent experience.
- Experience in customer‑focused roles and stakeholder management.
- Experience engaging with multi‑disciplinary/Technical teams or partners.
Desirable:
- Experience within large infrastructure, utilities, or regulated environments.
- Knowledge of asset, engineering, or network development processes.
What you'll get
A competitive salary between £55,000 - £65,000 – dependent on capability
As well as your base salary, you will receive a bonus based on personal and company performance and a competitive contributory pension scheme where we will double match your contribution to a maximum company contribution of 12%.
