National Grid is hiring a Manager – Energy Efficiency Program Delivery in Massachusetts. This is a Hybrid Role - Must live within a commutable distance to one of our Massachusetts locations

Job Purpose

To lead the delivery of energy efficiency programs – including heat electrification, weatherization, demand response, and more – for our commercial customers in Massachusetts, in partnership with other internal teams, in order to achieve goals in line with budgets and deliver high levels of customer satisfaction.

Key Accountabilities

 

  • Establish annual targets in collaboration with Customer Energy Management (CEM) with the aim of achieving and often exceeding goals within budget, as agreed to with state regulators.
  • Lead, motivate and develop a professional team, prioritize work and allocate resources in order to ensure savings and budget results are delivered in line with expectations and customer/business objectives.
  • Review and approve invoices for accuracy and oversee accrual submissions and monthly scorecard inputs for completeness, accuracy and to identify trends
  • Conduct monthly program reviews inclusive of key stakeholders including CEM, Sales, Marketing, and support functions that review program status, forecasts, key process metrics, gaps, and improvement/gap closer action plans.
  • Manage operational process activities, including performance indicators, in order to achieve high productivity, low costs and efficient work practices, program commitments and to ensure compliance with National Grid policies and procedures.
  • Assess new program design and participation potential in order to support planning efforts, including efforts undertaken by CEM and with a focus on securing regulatory approval for future programs
  • Establish strong internal partnerships, particularly with Sales, Marketing, Procurement, and IT, to accelerate performance, manage budgets, and develop systems/processes that enable success
  • Drive vendor management best practices and develop relationships with key vendors to deliver accountability and performance from vendor-led programs
  • Work with team to establish improvement/gap closer action plans with consistent monitoring and reporting to more senior levels of management.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Finance, Marketing or Energy/Business Management equivalent work experience is preferred.
  • Five plus years of direct energy efficiency experience.
  • Management experience preferred.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize, with flexible mindset in order to adapt to changing priorities.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally in order to achieve energy efficiency goals.
  • Good understanding of key business drivers and external commercial and regulatory environment.
  • Experience leading, inspiring and motivating an operational team.
  • Proven influencing skills and able to influence at senior level, internally and externally.
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills, including presentation skills.
  • Ability to conduct meetings or lead group discussions.
  • Ability to identify and coordinate resources as needed.
  • Excellent organizational and planning skills.

 

More Information

Salary: $139,000 - $164,000 a year
