Job Purpose

Lead and coach a team responsible for contract performance and financial data, analysis, reporting, and visualizations for outsourced construction, engineering, and EPC contracts. This role also leads the development, implementation, support, and maintenance of technology improvements that support NE Electric Contracts & Commercial and its stakeholders.

Key Accountabilities

  • Provide direct leadership and oversight of a team of data analysts.
  • Manage contract performance data, including collection, sourcing, preparation, validation, synchronization, and documentation of data origin, structure, and processes used to build KPI data sets.
  • Oversee framework contract purchase orders and invoicing, including initiating, monitoring, and closing annual purchase orders and ensuring timely, accurate invoice review and processing.
  • Perform monthly and ad hoc analysis of contract balances, annual purchase order balances, aging invoices, and other financial reporting.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards and visualizations for contract and contractor performance, and financial reporting, including gathering stakeholder requirements, data sourcing, testing, deployment, and ongoing support.
  • Develop, maintain, and implement a roadmap for technology enhancements that strengthen contract and commercial management.
  • Provide proactive, effective leadership.
    • Lead, motivate, and develop team capability.
    • Manage team resources and skills to prioritize issues, follow through, and deliver work on time.
    • Work closely with Contracts & Commercial leadership to drive successful business outcomes.
  • Collaborate effectively with Contracts & Commercial and other business stakeholders.
    • Partner with stakeholders to translate business needs into effective technology solutions.
    • Build and maintain strong internal and external relationships.
    • Communicate clearly and effectively, both in writing and verbally, with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Develop a center of excellence to increase awareness, capability, and adoption of technology solutions, including AI, across the group.
    • Create a technology capability plan that identifies opportunities for Contracts & Commercial and supports training, upskilling, and technical assistance across the group.
    • Stay current on market developments and emerging technology trends that improve contract management.

Qualifications

  • A bachelor’s degree is required 
  • 3+ years of experience in analytical roles required.
  • 2+ years of experience managing, coaching, and developing employees preferred.
  • Proficiency in Power BI, Database Management, SAP, Excel, and other relevant analytics tools.
  • Valid driver’s license with a safe driving history that meets National Grid’s Safe Driver policy required.

Salary

$175,000 - $205,000 a year
