National Grid is hiring a Lead Project Manager, Gas Capital Project Delivery for our Waltham, MA office.

The Role

Our team collaborates with internal and external partners to successfully execute large, complex LNG gas projects while maintaining adherence to schedules, budgets, and risk management.

What You'll Do

•    Provide leadership to project teams, ensuring the successful delivery of Capital Projects within the LNG portfolio in New England, focusing on safe and reliable natural gas delivery 
•    Oversee LNG projects, including new facilities and major modifications, while managing scope, schedule, and budget to ensure timely completion 
•    Foster a culture of teamwork and collaboration across various departments, including Engineering, Operations, and Asset Management, to optimize resource utilization 
•    Identify and manage project risks, ensuring compliance with environmental, safety, and National Grid standards, including obtaining necessary permits 
•    Maintain comprehensive knowledge of all project-related documents and prepare regular progress reports for stakeholders and senior leadership 
•    Negotiate and execute change orders with design teams and contractors, ensuring all project adjustments are documented and approved 
•    Promote best practices in project management and provide consulting expertise to peers, while also engaging with regulatory agencies as needed 

About You

•    A bachelor’s degree in engineering and relevant experience in project management, engineering, and construction operations is required; an MBA is preferred 
•    Certification as a Project Management Professional (PMP) is preferred, along with proven experience in delivering complex projects successfully 
•    7+ years of experience in project management, construction, or engineering roles, with a track record of leading high-performing teams and fostering a culture of continuous improvement 
•    Familiarity with LNG, gas system operations, and relevant industry codes and regulations is preferred, along with direct experience in construction and environmental projects 
•    Strong skills in prioritizing work, managing multiple projects, influencing, negotiating, and change management, with a focus on budget and time constraints 
•    Experience with project management tools like Primavera P6 is preferred 
•    Valid driver’s license required

Salary

$142,000 - $167,000 a year
