Senior Project Manager - Civil
About the role
At National Grid, we're building the infrastructure needed for a cleaner, greener future.
Through our growing portfolio of interconnectors, National Grid Ventures is connecting the UK's energy system with neighbouring countries, enabling the efficient flow of clean electricity across borders and supporting the transition to net zero. Between 2020 and 2030, our interconnectors are expected to help Britain avoid around 100 million tonnes of carbon emissions.
Now we're developing the next generation of interconnector projects.
LionLink is a first-of-its-kind collaboration between National Grid and Dutch transmission operator TenneT. As an innovative offshore hybrid asset, LionLink will connect offshore wind generation with interconnector infrastructure, helping unlock renewable energy in the North Sea while reducing the amount of new infrastructure required onshore and offshore. Once operational, LionLink will have the capacity to deliver approximately 1.8GW of clean electricity, enough to power around 2.5 million homes.
