As Senior Project Manager you are at the heart of delivering our infrastructure and customer connections portfolio, leading a team of Project Managers in electricity construction, delivering projects such as the connection of solar farms and battery storage – to provide clean and affordable energy. Other connections involve working with the distribution network operators, vital for our economy, technological advancement and the transition to greener transport and heat.

You’ll lead a multidisciplinary team of Project Managers and Project Supervisors through the whole project life cycle, from identifying the correct funding stream, operational and environmental optioneering/option selection, development of early design strategies and being accountable for detailed design, contract award and production of construction delivery Programmes, including regulation, governance and procurement activities.
You’ll ideally be based in the Midlands as the role will involve travel to sites and offices throughout this region.
What you'll need
We’re looking for someone who is going to take the job personally! Someone who is going to be completely committed to getting their portfolio of works delivered safely, on time and to budget. You will have a background employing project and/or contract management practice in a similar field or discipline.
You’ll have strong commercial acumen with demonstrable experience of leading cross functional teams and a stakeholder-centric approach to delivering a high quality output. You’ll be a self-starter who is good at playing devil’s advocate and foreseeing potential problems. You may have experience outside of a client role as either contractor or customer.
You’ll ideally have a degree or qualification in project management, engineering, business management or equivalent experience, and you will need a driving license that permits you to drive in the UK.
