Joining the Eastern Green Link 3 (EGL 3) delivery team, you’ll be responsible for supporting in all aspects of the ~580km marine HVDC cable contract between landfalls at Anderby Creek, Lincolnshire to Sandford Bay, Peterhead, including HDD works.
As a Senior Marine Project Manager, you will lead a small team of project managers (3/4) interfacing with internal technical and consenting teams, the principal EPC contractor and its subcontractors and other external stakeholders to ensure the safe delivery of the marine scope of work.
You will be familiar with industry practices and standards, particularly covering the full-life cycle of marine cable installation, however, relevant experience of other marine projects will be considered.
This role is hybrid based using any central or project offices or home bases.
We continue to offer hybrid working from office and home.

- Significant experience as a project manager with experience on marine based projects
- Experience of interfacing with multiple technical disciplines and work streams on marine based projects
- Experience in liaising with consents teams, stakeholders, and contractors to manage the marine works schedule
- Demonstrable capability in building diverse teams and providing strong leadership and mentoring to junior and senior members of staff

What You'll Do
Safety - Driving a positive safety culture for project managers and contractors alike. You will ensure clear communication to maintain safe work systems and positive outcomes. Promoting offshore wellbeing and upholding the ‘Safe to Say’ policy, you’ll encourage safety concerns to be voiced and foster an inclusive environment. You will ensure visible and accessible communications are in place throughout the life of a project, such as safety charters and notifications of incidents and lessons learnt
Commercial - Controlling costs, monitoring the impact of delays, and managing internal implications, you’ll contribute to project finance processes with internal and joint venture finance teams, ensuring adherence to governance and budget.
Leadership - Supporting and developing the project managers in your team, you’ll be committed to developing yourself, in order to develop others. Taking responsibility for building relationships and strong networks and actively creating a diverse, inclusive work environment, your leadership will allow project managers to flourish.
Contract management – You’ll have strong knowledge of NEC / FIDIC contracts and experience in executing them effectively to ensure all parties meet their obligations. Experience in risk and change management within the marine environment is also necessary.
Project Engineering – You’ll manage marine engineering processes, including inputs, studies, and marine technical consultant works. You will oversee desktop studies, marine surveys, and post-survey engineering. Reviewing tenders, coordinating expert input, and working with the EPC contractor during the delivery phase in order to plan and execute marine cable installation
What You'll Get
A competitive starting salary between £66,000 – £90,000 dependent on capability.
A fully electric or hybrid job vehicle to be used for business and personal use will also be provided.
As well as your base salary, you will receive a bonus of up to 30% of your salary for stretch performance and a competitive contributory pension scheme where we will double match your contribution to a maximum company contribution of 12%.
