Risk Engineer
About The Role
As a Project Risk Engineer, you will take a leading role in managing risk on one of National Grid’s major Strategic Infrastructure projects, working across complex delivery in a regulated environment. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced risk professional to apply strong technical judgement, lead high-quality risk discussions, and shape how project risk is understood, analysed and managed through the development of risk registers, treatment strategies and quantitative analysis.
You will also support broader portfolio understanding by providing clear insight to the Regional Risk Lead and Cross-Regional Risk Manager on key trends, exposure and interdependencies. Working closely with project teams, partners and project controls colleagues, you will help ensure risks to cost, schedule and business objectives are understood and managed in line with the Strategic Infrastructure framework, standards and assurance requirements, supporting better project outcomes for the business and ultimately for consumers.
Our Onshore delivery projects are major undertakings and our Risk Engineers are expected to lead the risk management activity for these large-scale projects. Synonymous job titles in other Sectors or Businesses could be: Senior Risk Analyst, Risk Specialist, Senior Risk Specialist, Project Risk Manager or even Senior Project Risk Manager.
We are looking for 7 Risk Engineers across the UK, this role is hybrid working and you will be expected to be in office 2 days a week. You may be expected to travel to Project locations throughout your working week based on project demands.
