About The Role
Brand New Roles – Growth – Midlands /Yorkshire Areas – Permanent

We have multiple new Supervisor roles available for various projects, including most predominantly our Brinsworth to High Marnham Uprating Project. The main city area’s around these projects include Rotherham, Chesterfield and Nottingham, therefore applicants should consider themselves commutable around these geographies.
As Project Supervisors you will ensure that the site-based project activities are efficiently managed in accordance with National Grid policies, procedures and contract.
You can expect to be based on a site around 3 days per week with flexible, results driven working practices that continue to offer hybrid working from office and home.
We are open to full time and part time applicants, as well as flexible working arrangements.

About You

- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Basic Project Management skills including management of risk for delivery of projects to scope, time, cost, quality, safety and security of supply.
- Awareness of NEC Contracts
- Good understanding of Safety and Environmental legislation and practices and policies.
- Good knowledge of CDM Regulations.
- Previous experience of project site management capability of working to deadlines and in a contracting environment.
- You'll be able to show a passion for the world National Grid are building and the UK road to Net Zero.

What You'll Do
- Overseeing site compliance under CDM Regulations whilst undertaking sensible monitoring inspections
- Reviewing all Project Documentation ahead of any works starting, such as Construction Phase Plans, Risk Assessments, Method Statements.
- Responsible as the main contact for any safety incidents, acting as the main point of contact along with following up any investigations through to closure on the Incident Management System
- Monthly Stand Up For Safety meetings on the project, sharing lessons learnt and best practices whilst keeping the integrated project team focused on safety
- Ensuring the Principal Contractor is holding regular meetings on site as well as a weekly SR163 meeting.
- Leading on the Safety Updates for the monthly Project Review Meetings, engaging the wider team with the work being undertaken out in the field
- Supporting all aspects of the project management team to ensure Development Consent Order requirements are fulfilled.
- Acting as the face for Safety on project events with the Integrated Project Team and wider business functions.
- Review and comment on the deliverability of the PC Site Delivery Programmes and proactively monitor all activities, promptly advising of any risks, opportunities or delays to programme which could impact the overall completion date or costs at completion
- Ensure the facilitation of regular site safety walks, holding coordination meetings with all contractors on site, ensuring that access/egress to the site is controlled.
- Support Quality Assurance monitoring across the Project
- Enacting the role of Employers ‘Supervisor’ under NEC contracts.
- Provide up to date project performance and technical advice
What You'll Get
We have 2 roles available.
Project Supervisor - A competitive starting salary between £50,000 – £60,000 – dependent on capability.
Senior Project Supervisor - A competitive starting salary between £55,000 – £68,000 – dependent on capability.
A brand new hybrid or fully electric for company or personal use is also provided
As well as your base salary, you will receive a bonus based on personal and company performance and a competitive contributory pension scheme where we will double match your contribution to a maximum company contribution of 12%.
