About the role

 

As owners of England and Wales’s electricity transmission network it’s up to us to build the infrastructure that will help make Net Zero happen. We’re looking for a PMO Analyst to join our team, supporting a portfolio of high-value construction projects that help deliver critical infrastructure across the Northeast region.

 

In this role, you'll play a key part in ensuring projects are governed effectively, reporting is accurate and timely, and stakeholders have the information they need to make informed decisions. You'll work closely with project teams, supporting governance forums, maintaining project data and providing meaningful reporting and analysis across a range of business systems.

 

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong organisational skills, an eye for detail and an interest in project controls, governance and data analysis.

 

What You'll Do

 

  • Support project and portfolio governance activities, including coordinating and administering key governance review meetings.
  • Maintain reporting schedules and governance calendars to ensure deadlines and key milestones are met.
  • Assist with monthly reporting cycles and provide reporting updates to stakeholders.
  • Work with project teams to maintain accurate and reliable data across core business systems.
  • Produce routine and ad hoc reports, helping stakeholders gain valuable project and portfolio insights.
  • Support data quality and continuous improvement across reporting and governance processes.

 

This role supports hybrid working from home, with regular attendance required at site offices in Sheffield or Leeds for meetings, so you will need to live within commuting distance of these offices.

 

 

About you

 

We're looking for someone with previous PMO experience within a large organisation, who can:

 

  • Work effectively to tight deadlines while maintaining excellent attention to detail.
  • Analyse and interpret data to produce meaningful reports and business insights.
  • Build strong working relationships with stakeholders at different levels.
  • Confidently support and facilitate meetings, ensuring actions and outputs are captured accurately.
  • Use Microsoft Office 365 applications effectively, particularly Excel and reporting tools.

 

It would be beneficial, but not essential, if you have:

 

  • Knowledge of SAP, Primavera or similar project management systems.
  • Experience working within a project, programme or portfolio management environment.
  • Understanding of project investment data, reporting structures and project lifecycle processes.
  • Previous experience supporting governance forums or management reporting activities.
