As an EPC Project Manager, you'll play a pivotal role in delivering major high-voltage infrastructure projects across England and Wales. From large-scale cable replacement programmes and substation upgrades to overhead line refurbishments, you'll lead projects that are essential to supporting the UK's net zero ambitions and strengthening the electricity network of the future.

Managing projects from initial concept through to construction and completion, you'll be accountable for ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality delivery. Working with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders, including OFGEM, you'll navigate complex regulatory requirements, drive project performance, and balance safety, cost, schedule, quality, and environmental considerations.

We're currently recruiting into our Northeast Trent Valley & Yorkshire team, supporting projects across Lincolnshire, Nottinghamshire, and Yorkshire. This is a hybrid role, with an average of three days per week spent on site, travelling, or in the office, and the remainder working from home.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead projects through development, pre-construction, delivery, and close-out, ensuring robust governance and successful outcomes throughout the project lifecycle.
• Drive compliance with Health & Safety legislation, CDM Regulations, environmental standards, and National Grid policies and procedures.
• Act as the Client's Delegated Representative and undertake Principal Designer responsibilities where required.
• Manage project reporting, including programme performance, financial forecasting, risk management, and issue resolution.
• Fulfil the role of NEC Project Manager (or equivalent), ensuring effective contract management and commercial performance across a range of contract models.

• Build strong relationships with contractors, regulatory bodies, and key stakeholders to support project success and secure regulatory approvals.

What you'll need

We're looking for experienced project professionals who are motivated by delivering critical infrastructure and thrive in complex, fast-paced environments. To be successful in this role, you'll bring:

• Proven experience leading construction or infrastructure projects through the full project lifecycle, from development and design through to delivery and close-out.
• A strong track record of managing high-value, complex programmes, ideally within the high-voltage electricity sector or other major infrastructure environments.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence, negotiate, and build trusted relationships across internal teams, contractors, regulators, and external partners.
• A robust understanding of construction-related Health, Safety and Environmental requirements, with a commitment to driving a strong safety culture.
• Experience administering and managing contracts, ideally under NEC forms of contract or similar commercial frameworks.
• The ability to manage risk, programme, cost, and performance simultaneously while maintaining a sharp focus on project outcomes.
• Knowledge of the electricity transmission industry or a regulated utilities environment would be advantageous.
