National Grid is hiring a Digital Insights Analyst - This position is based from our Warwick office however we offer flexible hybrid working options.

Job Purpose

As a Digital Insights Analyst you will champion the value of digital transformation, seamlessly integrating these advancements into our culture and everyday operations. Your strategic mindset will be essential as you navigate the evolving landscape of our business, adapting to new challenges and opportunities.

You will also play a key role in designing and implementing cutting-edge AI Agent solutions, enhancing our SharePoint HUB map for better collaboration, and driving data fabric initiatives that improve data integration and accessibility across the organisation.

What You'll Do

  • Support the creation of a portfolio of Infrastructure Development's digital needs, working closely with the IT & D Digital Team.
  • Provide technical oversight and guidance on digital systems to support Infrastructure Development.
  • Support business case development for digital opportunities.
  • Assist in the collection, analysis, and interpretation of source governed data from across delivery units like Asset Operations and Customer Connections to a centralised system.
  • Support stakeholder engagement ambitions to be more transparent with data and information externally.
  • Undertake analysis of data to provide actionable insights that can inform decision making on infrastructure development.
  • Drive innovation and horizon scanning of emerging technologies that could impact infrastructure development such as the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI).   
  • Prepare documentation and reporting materials to support the Infrastructure Development Leadership Team.
  • Create new templates for processes and assurance in line with Infrastructure ways of working.
  • Support the Digital Projects & Insights Manager in developing and implementing analytical models.
  • Design, prototype, and implement AI Agent solutions to automate and optimise business processes.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to map and maintain the SharePoint HUB structure, ensuring information is easily accessible and well-organised.
  • Support data fabric projects, including integration, governance, and accessibility of data assets across business units.

About You

  • Able to work across workstreams and delivery units, builds relationships with key stakeholders and can identify and confidently address divergent or duplicate activities across portfolios
  • Comfortable working with, modelling and analysis of large dataset
  • Passionate about successful delivery of digital transformation
  • Ability to playback findings to stakeholders.  
  • Able to influence stakeholders in the importance of business change and portfolio management

 

Technical or specialist experience of digital systems and insight gathering

  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools and software (e.g., Excel, SQL).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Eagerness to learn and develop new skills.
  • Design, prototype, and implement AI Agent solutions to automate and optimise business processes.
  • Knowledge of the Microsoft 365 environment and hands-on experience with integrated applications such as SharePoint, PowerAutomate, PowerApps, and Dataverse to optimise workflows, enhance data connectivity, and support scalable digital solutions.

Support data fabric projects, including integration, governance, and accessibility of data assets across business units.

  • Salary between £48,000 to £54,000 dependent on experience
