We're looking for a Community Benefits Officer to help deliver Community Benefit Funds that create meaningful, lasting opportunities for communities across England and Wales.

 

If you're passionate about social impact, programme delivery and building strong stakeholder relationships, this is your opportunity to play a direct role in creating positive change alongside critical national infrastructure.

 

We offer hybrid working, with flexibility required for monthly travel to offices and sites across London, the Midlands and the North of England. 

What you'll be doing

You'll support the delivery of Community Benefit Funds linked to major infrastructure projects, ensuring programmes are well-governed, transparent and deliver tangible outcomes for local communities.

 

You'll:

  • Manage Community Funds from launch through to close-out.
  • Coordinate grant application, assessment and award processes.
  • Monitor budgets, forecasts and programme performance.
  • Manage relationships with third-party fund administrators and suppliers.
  • Produce reports, dashboards and impact assessments.
  • Maintain governance, compliance and audit records.
  • Support community engagement activity and stakeholder communications.
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes and enhance the applicant experience.

What we're looking for

  • Experience managing suppliers, contracts, programmes or service delivery.
  • Excellent organisational skills and exceptional attention to detail.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience producing reports, analysing data and working within governance frameworks.
  • The ability to build trusted relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders.
  • Strong prioritisation skills and the ability to manage multiple workstreams.
  • A genuine passion for creating positive community outcomes and social value.
  • Experience within grant funding, community investment, local government, charity, not-for-profit organisations or regulated industries would be advantageous.

What you'll get

A competitive salary between £42,000 - £48,000 – dependent on capability.

 

As well as your base salary, you will receive a bonus based on personal performance and a competitive contributory pension scheme where we will double match your contribution to a maximum company contribution of 12%.
