Your role comes with a lot variety, from different substation locations to the people on those sites both employees and contractors, you’ll receive training that is required for your role and over time have a wider exposure to the business and supply chain which is great for your personal development. We’re flexible on your base location with hybrid working with travel, a mix of home, site, office and occasional stays away from home, comes with a job requirement company car.

 

You will be part of the CDM Advisor team who are constantly developing and evolving their support services across the Asset Operations business which will entail acting as subject matter experts, and provision of guidance and consultation, as well as solution finding across a range of topics from project delivery, documentation content, strategic planning and training content. 

 

As a CDM Advisor, you’ll will apply your knowledge and experience of the (Construction Design & Management) CDM Regulations 2015. Initially supporting within our Cyber project portfolio (Installations of physical cyber security equipment on substations sites across England and Wales) as a principal designer covering multiple sites and different phases of the works. Your role will expand over time across wider parts of the Asset Operations business which is crucial to the progression and growth of the CDM Advisor services.

Must haves:

  • Involvement on utility construction projects and/or large scale maintenance works on operational sites.
  • Knowledge and experience of applying the CDM Regulations 2015 and Principal Designer.
  • A good understanding of the requirements of UK Health and Safety legislation generally, construction related Regulations and HSE Guidance specifically. 
  • H&S qualification - IOSH or NEBOSH Construction certificate or SMSTS.
  • A full UK driving licence.

Pay and Benefits

  • £58,000 to £64,000 pa + Excellent Benefits Package.
  • 37 hours Mon - Fri
  • 26 days annual leave plus 8 statutory days. 
  • Generous contributory pension scheme up to 6% - maximum company contribution of 12%. Totalling 18%.
