National Grid is hiring a Senior Analyst for our Inspection, Maintenance & Blanket Management group in Upstate NY or Massachusetts. This is a Hybrid role with possible in office work as needed.

Job Purpose
Assist in the oversight of Transmission & Distribution inspections and continuous improvement of National Grid’s Electric Transmission and Distribution systems.
Proactively drive data analysis, reporting, and process improvements to help achieve work plan goals and regulatory targets. Ensure compliance with company policies, operating procedures, and regulatory expectations regarding the safety and reliability of the company's assets.
Key Accountabilities
- Collect, analyze, and report on inspection and maintenance data to support annual work plans for the Inspection & Maintenance Department
- Continuously improve the inspection and maintenance program ensuring National Grid meets and exceeds our mandatory inspections and repair requirements
- Identify and recommend operational improvements based on data trends and performance metrics.
- Prepare and submit regulatory reporting requirements and ensure data accuracy.
- Reconcile inspection results with work order tracking systems and maintain data integrity.
- Provide financial analysis support including invoice tracking, accrual processing and tracking program completion against OPEX and CAPEX budgets.
- Assist in the management of department process documentation, SharePoint, and MS Teams sites.
- Support the development and implementation of digital products, including GridInspector.
- Develop and maintain PowerBI reports and other reporting tools
Supervisory/Interpersonal Experience Required
- Experience supporting project delivery and working within project teams.
- Strong communication, influencing, and negotiating skills.
- Ability to develop effective working relationships quickly and collaboratively.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Data Analytics, or a related technical discipline preferred.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in data analysis, statistics, finance, project management or a similar discipline. Experience in lieu of a degree will be considered.
- Proficient in data analytics and analyzing distribution/transmission assets and inspections.
- Advanced Excel, Python, VBA, SQL, or other programming skills as well as database management experience; familiarity with Power BI or other data visualization/dashboard development packages is a plus. Familiarity with STORMS is preferred.
- Familiar with distribution/transmission line overhead and underground systems
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects and issues simultaneously.
- Proven analytical skills and the ability to work independently or in groups to achieve objectives.
- Ability to research, compile, coordinate, schedule, review, document, organize and verify data and conduct independent analysis to identify inconsistencies.
- Knowledge of National Grid's business operations, company policies, and practices preferred.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and conflict resolution skills.
- Valid Driver's License required.
- Ability to travel across divisions and regions as required.
Salary
$99,000 - $116,000 a year
