Job Purpose
The Safety Program Analytics Analyst plays a crucial role in overseeing the analytics and reporting of safety programs within Electric Operations. This position is dedicated to ensuring compliance with safety regulations while continuously evaluating and monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs). By leveraging data-driven insights, the manager will drive initiatives that enhance safety culture and performance across the organization, fostering a proactive approach to safety and risk management. This role is essential in shaping a safer work environment and supporting the overall mission of delivering safely for our customers.
Key Accountabilities
- Develop and manage analytics related to safety programs, ensuring data-driven decision-making and continuous improvement.
- Lead initiatives to improve safety performance through internal and external benchmarking, analytics and process efficiencies.
- Monitor and report on KPIs and metrics to ensure all safety targets are met, providing regular updates to the business.
- Conduct outreach initiatives to ensure that all safety goals and targets are communicated effectively and achieved across all teams.
- Prepare and distribute reporting to track compliance training progress for all teams.
- Perform trending analysis on safety data to identify patterns, areas for improvement, and potential risks for the business.
- Analyze employee surveys, pulse surveys, and other feedback mechanisms to assess safety culture and develop action plans based on survey results.
- Utilize digital job brief analytics (e.g., Barn Reports) to evaluate safety performance and identify areas for enhancement.
- Manage interfaces with systems such as IMS, Cority, and Snowflake to ensure seamless data integration and reporting.
- Ensure all safety analytics initiatives are aligned with the SPP and contribute to overall safety objectives.
- Collaboration with the Advanced Data Analytics team to leverage data insights for improving safety performance and compliance.
- Provide support for Operation Review Meeting (ORM) and Business Review Management (BRM) initiatives, including performance breakdowns and reporting.
- Contribute to the development and execution of effective annual safety plans, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
- Utilize Samsara for tracking safety efficiencies and scores, analyzing data to drive improvements in safe driving behaviors.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in safety management, data analytics, or a related field with 3-5 years of relevant experience in safety data analytics.
- In lieu of bachelor's degree, associate degree, and 6+ years of data analysis and coding experience required.
- Experience with a variety of computer software, including the proven ability to develop and maintain complex spreadsheets and databases required.
- Proficiency with Power BI and Power Automate required.
- Proficiency with Python, SQL, and HTML required.
- Experience using SQL queries as well as writing queries in a business environment with large-scale datasets.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets and drive continuous improvement in safety performance.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with diverse teams.

Salary
$87,000 - $102,000 a year
