Job Purpose
As an Analyst in Meter Data Services (MDS) Gas Operations and Integration, you will be accountable for the Collection of Gas Customer Meter Information, and Timely Delivery of this information to Billing, Gas Nominations, Gas Control Center, and Energy Suppliers. This critical role will be responsible for identifying Customer Meter Collection Issues, Prioritizing Corrective Action with Field Operations in all Jurisdictions, supporting critical Gas Demand Response and Temperature Controlled Events. This role will also provide support for Heating Degree Day Contracts, Regulatory Requests, coordinating with the Gas Control Center, Gas Supply Requests, and identifying Information Technology Issues. This role will support Technical Issues within MDS and Interface with Information Technology to test Desktop Upgrades, Network Changes, and provide support for MDS Applications.
Key Accountabilities
- Consistently execute MDS Gas Collection Processes and Meet Daily and Monthly Data Deliverables utilizing MDS Gas Collection Systems.
- Analysis daily collection results, identify Meter Collection Issues, Coordinate with Field Operations and Billing Organization to resolve issues.
- Coordinate with Information Technology and resolve MDS Technical Issues in a timely manner.
- Provide support for Information Technology Hardware and Software Upgrades.
- Coordinate with Field Operations Organization Meter Exchanges, and IP Gas Communication Modules.
- Coordinate with Internal and External Auditors for Annual Sox Audits, Information Digital Risk and Security Audits, and Regulatory Audits.
- Support process improvement activities providing creative process improvement ideas, support team hub activities, and support Monthly Customer Billing to drive continuous improvements.
- Cultivate successful working relationships with colleagues to ensure consistent operational performance for key stakeholders Customer Meter Services, Gas Meter Shop, Accounts Maintenance, Billing and Systems, Supplier Services, Regulatory, and Information Technology.
- Interface with key Stakeholders to provide process and analytical support to help deliver on regulatory mandates, process improvements, and Key Performance Indicators.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Information Technology, Marketing, Finance, Engineering, and/or work related experience.
- Knowledge of the Energy Industry with Gas experience a plus.
- Experience with Telecommunication Land-Line and Wireless technology
- Experience with National Grid Customer Billing Systems (CSC & CRS)
- Experience using Microsoft Office and Outlook.
- Experience using Microsoft Access and performing SQL Queries.
- Experience installing, and testing Software is a plus.
- Strong Analytical skills: must be able to provide timely and accurate interpretation of Meter Collection Information.
- Experience working with multiple stakeholders on different issues and meet pre-defined deadlines.
- Experience in working well with a team from diverse range of backgrounds and experience
- Strong Oral and Written communication skills are required to interface with Meter Operations Groups and Customer Billing Organizations.
- Knowledge of Gas Collections Systems (Enel M2M, Itron MV90, Honeywell Powerspring) is a plus.
- ***This position will require working flexible hours Monday-Friday between 6 am and 6 pm. During Gas Season (November to March) some weekend support may be required.
