About the role

 

Grain LNG is Europe’s largest liquefied natural gas importation terminal by storage capacity, located on the Isle of Grain in Kent. The terminal plays a critical role in supporting the UK’s energy security by providing substantial regasification, storage, and send out capability which is sufficient to supply 25-30% of Great Britain’s gas demand. As an expanding critical energy asset positioned for the future energy transition, Grain LNG continues to evolve—enhancing operational resilience, embracing new technologies, and shaping its role as a key enabler of the UK’s Net Zero ambitions.
 
We are currently recruiting for a Recruitment/HR Advisor to join our team.


The Recruitment / HR Advisor will play a key role in supporting the full employee lifecycle, with a primary focus on recruitment and onboarding activity from early careers to senior roles from gaining requisition approval, supporting managers in defining job roles, advertising and sourcing of candidates through to screening, interview scheduling and onboarding of successful candidate. This role ensures that recruitment processes run smoothly, HR records are accurate, and employees receive excellent administrative support.

 


You will provide comprehensive specialist recruitment advice and administration service to all hiring managers and candidates, ensuring that the service provided meets agreed policy standards and agreed KPI’s, ensuring all on boarding of pre-employment checks are processed within a timely manner enabling an exceptional candidate experience.
As a member of the HR team, you will support the HRBP with advice to employees and managers, in line with policy and procedure.

 

The role is a hybrid role based on site at the Isle of Grain and you can enjoy working from the office 2 days a week as well as from home.

 

We are open to full time applications and also happy to consider flexible working options too.
 

What you'll do

 

  • Post job advertisements to the company website, various job recruitment websites, such as LinkedIn and Indeed, and social media pages
  • Identify and screen suitable candidates, conducting appropriate assessments and creating shortlists for interview
  • Schedule and conduct interviews alongside management, as requested
  • Make job offers to successful candidates including offer letters and contract documentation.
  • Explain compensation and benefit details, making negotiations with candidates when necessary
  •  Assist with the onboarding of hired candidates
  • Conduct background and reference checks for final candidates as part of onboarding process
  • Prepare recruiting reports / dashboards as required
  • Attend various networking and recruitment events, such as job fairs
  • Maintain a database of suitable candidates for future reference compliant with GDPR regulations and retention policy.
  • Maintain recruitment records accurately within the HR systems and applications and ensure data is held in compliance with GDPR and retention policy.
  • Provide regular updates to HRBP on recruitment activity and any barriers to success.
  •  Work with HR to create onboarding and induction plans for new employees.
  • Work closely with HR on employer branding strategy and campaigns to attract top talent.
  • Provide reactive and effective HR support and advice to Managers and Employees consistent with Company Policy, Legislation and Best Practice
  • Case management - advice and support investigations, disciplinaries, grievances, performance management, absence management, including administration of notes, letters, outcomes etc.
  • Support payroll administration preparation by ensuring timely submission of JML data.
  • Provide cover for the HR Administrator/HR Business partner as appropriate. 

What you'll need

 

  • Demonstrable experience as a Recruitment Coordinator/HR Advisor or similar role
  • Familiarity with human resources and applicant tracking system software
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills to manage multiple projects
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Great interpersonal skills and high level of confidentiality
  • Knowledge of employment laws and human resources best practices
  • Committed to delivering a positive candidate experience. 
  • Demonstrable experience as a Recruitment Coordinator/HR Advisor or similar role
  • Level 3 CIPD or equivalent, or willing to work towards

What you'll get

 

A competitive salary between £42,000-£45,000 per annum – dependent on capability.
 

 

As well as your base salary, you will receive a bonus based on personal and company performance and a competitive contributory pension scheme where we will double match your contribution to a maximum company contribution of 12%. You will also have access to a number of flexible benefits.
