OHL Training Compliance Co-ordinator

We’re looking for a passionate OHL Training Compliance Co-ordinator to join our Asset Operations Team!

Supporting the OHL Training & Co-ordination Engineer and SHES & Compliance function, you’ll provide national administrative and compliance support across training, competence and authorisation activities. You’ll help maintain accurate training records, monitor mandatory requirements, support assurance activities, and ensure processes are applied consistently and remain fully auditable.

This is a peripatetic role, requiring travel across multiple locations. To support this, a company vehicle will be provided. We operate a hybrid working model, offering flexibility between site, office, and home-based working where appropriate.

We are committed to supporting flexible working and would be happy to discuss any additional arrangements or working pattern requirements that may help you succeed in the role and maintain a healthy work-life balance.

What You’ll Do:

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date training, competence and authorisation records for OHL trainees and authorised persons, ensuring data integrity and completeness.
  • Monitor mandatory and refresher training compliance, tracking completion, identifying upcoming expiries, gaps and anomalies, and escalating concerns where required.
  • Support training governance by coordinating with the Operational Competency Team, confirming training completion, and assisting with compliance checking of trainee logbooks and records.
  • Act as a liaison with the OHL Performance Lead to support the accuracy, reporting and effective use of training and compliance data within Power BI dashboards.
  • Collate training evidence and documentation to support audits, Safety Review Days, internal assurance activities and management reporting requirements.
  • Produce routine compliance summaries and reports, providing management with clear oversight of training, competence and authorisation status.
  • Provide guidance to trainees and line managers on documentation and record-keeping requirements, while undertaking administrative activities that support effective training governance.

What You’ll Have:

  • Demonstrable experience supporting training, competence and compliance processes within a safety-critical, engineering or infrastructure environment.
  • Strong understanding of governance, safety requirements and the importance of accurate record keeping in maintaining operational compliance.
  • Experience working within defined policies, procedures, standards or assurance frameworks, with a commitment to quality and consistency.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to build effective working relationships across multiple teams and levels.
  • Highly organised with exceptional attention to detail, capable of managing, validating and maintaining accurate data and records.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word and Outlook, with the ability to produce reports and manage information effectively.
  • Experience using databases, compliance systems or training management platforms to monitor training, competence and workforce compliance requirements.
