Construction Project Manager

We're looking for two passionate Construction Project Managers to join our Operational Readiness Property Projects Team! One role will be based in Manchester/Leeds, and the other will be based in the East Midlands.

 

You will develop, secure approval for, deliver, and close a number of building refurbishment investment projects on time, within budget, and to the required specification, in accordance with ET processes. You will ensure that health, safety, and environmental considerations are effectively managed throughout the project lifecycle, while delivering against the business’s regulatory, stakeholder, and customer commitments.

 

This role is peripatetic, and we encourage a hybrid working approach, although we’re happy to discuss any additional flexibility in working patterns or requirements that you feel could help to make this job work for you!

What You'll Do

  • Lead the end-to-end delivery of multiple capital projects, managing investment activities from development and design through to construction, commissioning and close-out.
  • Develop and deliver safe, efficient and cost-effective project solutions, ensuring compliance with CDM regulations, SHESQ requirements and organisational standards.
  • Build strong relationships with customers, stakeholders and delivery partners, driving engagement, resolving issues proactively and achieving high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Manage project governance, business cases, risk mitigation, reporting and assurance, ensuring accurate documentation and compliance throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Establish and implement effective procurement and contracting strategies, managing NEC contracts and ensuring successful tendering and mobilisation of delivery partners.
  • Control project performance against safety, scope, schedule and budget targets, providing robust forecasting, risk management and regulatory reporting.
  • Lead multidisciplinary project teams and contractors to deliver projects safely, on time, within budget and to specification, ensuring successful commissioning, handover and asset

What You'll Have

  • Relevant Degree or equivalent qualification(s) and/or relevant experience in a related field.
  • Full driving licence.
  • TP144 and TP141.
  • Recognised Project Management Qualification (or working towards).
  • Recognised training or qualifications in Health, Safety, Environmental and Financial management.
  • Good Project Management skills including management of risk for delivery of projects to scope, time, cost, quality, safety and security of supply.
  • Working knowledge and application of CDM.
  • Proficient understanding and experience of Safety and Environmental legislation, practices and policies.
  • Proficient in Contract Management.
  • A customer-centric approach to delivering a high-quality output.
  • Demonstrable experience of leading cross functional teams.
  • Demonstrable experience of stakeholder management.
  • Proficient business writing and communication skills.
  • Demonstrable experience of problem solving and an appetite for continuous improvement.
  • Good influencing and negotiating skills.

What You'll Get

£54,090 - £58,750 dependent on experience.

 

As well as your base salary, you will receive a bonus based on personal and company performance, Establish Market Supplement of £4500, Job Requirement Car and competitive contributory pension scheme where we will double match your contribution to a maximum company contribution of 12%.
