The Role

The Senior Analyst assists the Company and its employees who are taking a leave of absence, (i.e.: personal illness, leave to care for a family member, maternity, bonding, military duty, etc.) to ensure that proper medical certification is received, company policies and state laws are followed.

What You'll Do

  • Act as Liaison and primary contact for Employee Services (ES), State Family Leave, Short-Term Disability, and Long-Term Disability (LTD) related inquiries
  • Act as primary point of contact for Sick Pay, State Leaves, LTD policy and time coding questions regarding sick pay benefits (both company-provided and statutory time), maternity leave, parental bonding leave, LTD, Paid Family leave, Sick in Family and Military leave
  • Process and calculate Sick Leave End Dates (SLEDS) and provide to Managers and third-party administrator
  • Ensure sick pay quota buckets are available and accurate for employees
  • Manage the day-to-day relationship with third-party administrator including interpretation and application of established contractual agreements and state laws 
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders to share best practices and provide compliance advice
  • Discuss LOA claims with Labor Relations team, and respond to their questions in a timely manner

About You

  • Bachelor’s degree required, HR, or Business Administration preferred
  • 1+ year of experience in absence management or HR case management required  
  • Working knowledge and understanding of the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), and Massachusetts Paid Family and Medical Leave (PFML) required
  • Ability to communicate empathetically with employees while maintaining confidentiality and guiding managers through the process required
  • Exceptional organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills to manage claims accurately required
  • Excellent computer and data analysis skills (Microsoft Office suite) required
  • Valid driver’s license required

Salary

$110,000 - $125,000 a year
