National Grid is hiring a Manager, Maps and Records for Hybrid role local to Northboro, Massachusetts.
Job Purpose
National Grid USA is seeking a proven leader to oversee our Maps & Records / Network Model Accuracy team. This group plays a vital role in ensuring our electric transmission and distribution Geographic Information System (GIS), Computer Aided Design (CAD) map data, and network model data are maintained in a timely and dependable manner. Having correct representation of our as-operated electric assets is key to safe and reliable operation.
Our team is currently working on significant upgrades to digital solutions like Enterprise Asset Management. The successful candidate is expected to influence our jurisdiction’s evolution and deliver the strategic the change management for our department.
Key Accountabilities
• Foster open and honest communication, change management and strategic execution
• Manage work request close-out & system of record accuracy across enterprise systems
• GIS Asset Maintenance & Data Integrity including operational maps that our field workforce utilizes every day.
• Data quality, error resolution and model corrections to prevent small data errors becoming operational system problems.
• Lead external coordination and specialized requests including the enterprise transformation programs that impact the organization’s productivity and sustainability.
Qualifications
• Bachelor of Science in GIS/Geography, IT, Engineering, or a related field
• Minimum 3 years of experience in leading teams
• Experience in managing represented workforce, local labor agreements, and negotiations.
• Acumen in the design, operation, and construction of electric overhead and underground transmission/distribution systems, substations, and generation.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage across organizational boundaries.
• Occasional travel throughout National Grid service territory.
• Proven experience guiding teams through change in technical, operational, or data-focused settings.
More Information
Salary - $145,000 - $170,000
This position has a career path which provides for advancement opportunities within and across bands as you develop and evolve in the position; gaining experience, expertise and acquiring and applying technical skills. Candidates will be assessed and provided offers against the minimum qualifications of this role and their individual experience.
