Job Purpose
The Contract Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of contract management for natural gas construction projects. This role involves managing changes to the contract, negotiating contract terms, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, and managing relationships with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction law and contract negotiation, along with excellent communication and organizational skills.
Key Accountabilities
• Review and negotiate change orders with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.
• Ensure compliance with all contractual obligations and legal requirements.
• Monitor project progress and manage contract changes and amendments.
• Collaborate with project managers to ensure alignment between contract terms and project execution.
• Resolve disputes and claims related to contracts in a timely manner.
• Maintain accurate records of contracts, correspondence, and project documentation.
• Provide guidance and support to project teams on contract-related issues.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business Administration, Law, or a related field.
• Ability to quantify changes to a construction contract by means of performing construction drawing take-offs, researching contract terms and engineering specifications, and performing CPM delay analyses.
• Proven experience as a Contract Manager in the natural gas/LNG, utility, or industrial construction industries.
• Strong knowledge of construction contracts, laws, and regulations.
• Strong knowledge of CPM schedule methodology.
• Excellent business and legal writing skills.
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
• Proficient in contract management software and Microsoft Office Suite.

$127,000 - $149,000 a year
