About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and organized training professional to support Transmission Line Services (TLS) training programs across New York State. This role is focused on training coordination, facilitation, logistics, and administrative support. The successful candidate will work closely with TLS leadership, field supervisors, instructors, vendors, and Learning & Development to ensure training events are planned, resourced, documented, and executed successfully.
The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of electric utility operations, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to effectively support both classroom and field-based learning activities.
Key Responsibilities
Training Administration & Coordination
- Serve as the primary coordinator for TLS training activities.
- Manage training schedules, class rosters, attendance records, and training documentation.
- Coordinate classroom, field, and vendor-led training logistics.
- Ensure required materials, equipment, tooling, and resources are available prior to training events.
- Support annual training cycles, progression schools, compliance training, and refresher programs.
Facilitation & Learner Support
- Facilitate portions of classroom and hands-on training programs.
- Support instructors and subject matter experts during training delivery.
- Assist in administering practical evaluations, sign-offs, and training records.
- Help ensure a positive learning experience for employees attending TLS training programs.
Stakeholder & Vendor Management
- Act as a liaison between Training, TLS Leadership, Field Operations, vendors, and union training representatives.
- Coordinate scheduling and communication with outside vendors and internal stakeholders.
- Support planning meetings and assist with training readiness reviews.
Program Support & Continuous Improvement
- Maintain and update training materials, records, and learning resources.
- Assist with curriculum revisions and training program improvements.
- Track program metrics and support reporting requirements.
- Identify opportunities to improve training efficiency, consistency, and learner readiness.
What You'll Need
Required Qualifications
- Experience in electric utility operations, training, workforce development, or a related field.
- Strong organizational, administrative, and project coordination skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
- Comfortable facilitating meetings, training sessions, and group discussions.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Electric utility experience.
- Experience coordinating training programs or workforce development initiatives.
- Experience working with field operations, transmission, distribution, substation, or related utility functions.
- Prior experience leading groups, mentoring employees, or facilitating training.
- Knowledge of adult learning principles and training administration.

Salary
$101,000-$118,000
