About the role

We’re looking for a Document Controller to provide control for our multi-site projects in Iver and Uxbridge Moor, ensuring that we deliver compliant and traceable project documentation.

 

In this role, you will serve as the liaison with the Main Works Contractor’s document controller and systems, ensuring that all contractual documents are managed in accordance with National Grid’s policies and procedures.

 

You will collaborate with project teams to ensure that all documents are reviewed, approved, and that any changes are identified and updated. You will also be responsible for distributing documents to relevant parties, ensuring that all documentation is version-controlled and traceable to maintain an audit trail. Additionally, you will manage the SharePoint site.

 

We are looking for someone who can identify areas for improvement and make recommendations to enhance the current system.

 

This role is based at our site office in Uxbridge Moor, London for 3-4 days per week and this can be combined with hybrid working from home.   

 

 

What you'll need

 

You will possess strong computer skills and have experience with standard Microsoft applications, particularly SharePoint, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

 

Extensive experience with Common Data Environments (CDE) and/or collaboration software is essential, along with experience of project delivery that includes the use of naming conventions and metadata in document control.

 

Experience and Knowledge of project handover records and requirements would be an advantage as well as an awareness of: Construction contract environment, including contractual terms of conditions and processes.

 

Additionally, you will demonstrate proven skills in planning, process management, and organisation.

A competitive salary between £38,300– £45,000 – dependent on capability, plus £10,970 London Weighting Allowance.
