National Grid is hiring a Field Hardware Asset Associate Analyst, based in Plymouth, for our Technology team. You’ll play a key role in supporting the management, tracking, deployment, and lifecycle of hardware assets across the business, helping to ensure colleagues have the technology and equipment they need to operate effectively.

We're looking for a Field Hardware Asset Associate Analyst to join our IT&D End User Computing (EUC) team, based in Plymouth. In this exciting role, you'll play a key part in managing and optimising the technology assets that support our colleagues and critical operations across the business.

Working at the heart of our EUC team, you'll help maintain and improve IT asset management processes, ensuring the accuracy of asset data and providing valuable insights, reporting, and support to teams across IT&D. No two days are the same, with opportunities to collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders and contribute to the smooth running of essential technology services.

What You'll Do

In this varied and rewarding role, you will:

• Help manage the full lifecycle of IT hardware assets, ensuring they are accurately recorded, tracked, and maintained throughout their journey.
• Support the production of regular asset stock reports, providing valuable insights into equipment levels and availability across the business.
• Assist in the environmentally responsible disposal of assets, ensuring all WEEE processes and controls are followed.
• Monitor compliance and identify opportunities to improve asset management practices and governance.
• Investigate discrepancies within asset records, helping to maintain the accuracy and integrity of our asset databases.
• Work collaboratively with teams across National Grid to support hardware deployments, returns, moves, and leavers processes.
• Produce meaningful management information, performance data, and trend analysis to support business decision-making.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of asset management systems, processes, and documentation.
• Participate in inventory audits and asset verification activities, helping ensure our records remain robust and reliable.
• Build strong relationships with colleagues and stakeholders across the organisation, becoming a trusted point of contact for asset management support.
• Support a range of exciting projects and initiatives that enhance the way technology hardware is managed across the business.
• Maintain the highest standards of health, safety, and compliance in everything you do.

About You

We're looking for someone who is organised, detail-oriented, and eager to develop their career in technology and IT asset management. You'll be confident using Microsoft Office, comfortable working with data and reports, and able to communicate effectively with stakeholders across the business. With strong planning skills, a keen eye for accuracy, and a proactive approach to problem-solving, you'll enjoy working in a collaborative environment where no two days are the same.

Most importantly, you'll bring enthusiasm, a willingness to learn, and a genuine interest in supporting the technology that keeps National Grid running.

You'll stand out if you have experience or knowledge of:

• Working within a corporate IT or technology environment
• Documentation and knowledge management platforms such as SharePoint or Confluence
• IT asset management principles and the lifecycle of technology assets
• ITIL processes and service management best practices
• Process improvement, reporting, and data analysis

We are also offering hybrid working. Base location for this role will be Plymouth
