Job Purpose

This role will be On-Site, Mon – Fri, Second Shift 3 PM to 1130 PM. 

To be responsible for the safety, reliability, security and integrity of the work site, through the daily supervision and organization of operations personnel in order to complete job tasks while complying with Company and Regulatory policies.

Key Accountabilities

  • Manage the safe setting to work of all work activities in accordance with the safe control of operations procedures.
  • Authorize permission documents, and undertake the role of Site Controller.
  • Maintain accurate site operational records including shift log entries as required.
  • Support the construction and commissioning of new assets onto the gas transmission system and other non-load related project work.
  • Identify the requirement to replace/upgrade existing plant and equipment, including the preparation of business cases, initiation of design and provision of technical support.
  • Act as incident controller and site main controller during planned and emergency situations.
  • Manage allocated resources to produce cost-effective, customer focused and efficient service within budget and delegation of authority, assisting with the indirect control of various projects in order that timescales and budgeted costs are met.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Supervisory/Interpersonal- Experience Required
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
    • Negotiations skills.
    • Demonstrates project leadership skills.
  • A minimum of 5-8+ years of experience in Distribution Design, T&D Operations, Engineering, or equivalent

  • Demonstrated commitment to safety practices and procedures

  • This is a night shift position and you must be able to work nights although some months will be spent on days to shadow existing Supervisors.

  • Ability to perform off-hour coverage and provide sound decision-making during emergency situations

  • Valid driver’s license required

Preferred:

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering (preferred) or Associate of Science degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or Electrical/Electronic Engineering Technology from an accredited engineering or technological school or equivalent

Salary

 

$100,000 - $117,000 a year
