About the Position:
We are presently seeking to fill a Right of Way Agent A position at our Buffalo location, with a minimum starting pay rate of $47.23/hr. In addition, we offer excellent benefits including medical, dental, life insurance, 401(k) plan, vacation, tuition assistance and more.
Under general supervision to perform such duties as:
- Secure land and rights of way for all types of distribution lines and structures;
- Obtain licenses and permits for all types of lines and structures, including cutting, trimming, guying and surveying rights;
- Assist employees of a higher classification in securing land and rights of way for all types of transmission lines and structures as may be required;
- Make title searches, work on title records and maps and settle small claims against the Company resulting from construction activities.
Job Qualifications:
- Knowledge of or training in commercial law;
- Knowledge of Company policies and practices relating to the duties to be performed;
- Ability to successfully contact persons from whom land and rights are to be acquired;
- Must be able to qualify as a Notary Public.
- Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver’s license required with a safe driving history that meets National Grid’s Safe Driver policy
Pay Rate: $47.23/hr

Newly hired employees are bound by the terms of the collective bargaining agreement as well as other agreements between the Company and the local union.
