Job Purpose
Manage, balance, coordinate and communicate the availability of internal Gas Operations resources, integrating planned and unplanned absences, to help achieve the work plan and deliver against agreed programs of work.
Monitor and report monthly, weekly, and potentially daily resource availability, schedules and assignments and changes to key stakeholders to enable predictions based on key trends.
Monitor and report daily exceptions that impacts pay within the Resource Management Solution, to avoid errors and impacts to the downstream processes.
Track and respond to key performance metrics for the RAM capability, to drive improvements and productivity.
Promote and implement procedural best practice, to help execute the annual Capex and OpEx plans.
Key Accountabilities
- Understand changes to regulatory and bargaining agreement rules and implement changes to resource management practices, as needed.
- Ability to muti task in high pressure environment to ensure daily reporting is met
- Provide guidance and support to operations staff to help in the effective execution and integration of the Resource Management Solution into the business.
- Keep up to date with Resource Management Solution enhancements in order to ensure sustaining best practices for National Grid.
- Resource Management will provide technical guidance, support and coaching to others in order to share knowledge and develop technical understanding within discipline.
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with key stake holders to share best practices, drive consistency in resource planning and ensure timely delivery of projects.
- Challenge existing ways of working and continuously seek better ways of performing work to drive greater efficiencies.
- Works within a high paced, high-volume environment.
- Effectively analyzes resource requirements at both individual and portfolio levels, recognizing dependencies, constraints, and cascading impacts.
- Anticipates how changes in one area may influence others, enabling proactive planning and informed decision-making.
Qualifications
- A Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in a related field or three years work experience in related field.
- Proficiency in relevant software (e.g. Microsoft Office products – Access, Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
- Knowledge or awareness of relevant software preferred (e.g. SAP, Workforce, Salesforce, Power BI).
- Knowledge or awareness of energy system operations preferred.
- Experience of managing project teams and projects independently.
- Valid driver’s license required with a safe driving history that meets National Grid’s Safe Driver policy.

Salary
$82,000 - $96,000 a year
National Grid utilizes an assessment that evaluates the job qualifications/characteristics using AI or statistically based scoring. For more information, please view NYC Local Law 144.
This position has a career path which provides for advancement opportunities within and across bands as you develop and evolve in the position; gaining experience, expertise and acquiring and applying technical skills. Internal candidates will be assessed and provided offers against the minimum qualifications of this role and their individual experience.
