Job Purpose
To lead a team with responsibility for delivering critical finance, benefits realization and reporting outcomes for the AMI (Advanced Metering Infrastructure) program in Massachusetts (MA) and New York (NY).
Key Accountabilities
- Operate as the AMI Finance and Benefits Realization manager for the US footprint, overseeing and developing a team of cross-disciplined leads and analysts. Facilitate team growth and individual employee development.
- Support the team in strategic delivery and reporting of financial and program benefit realization results for internal and external audiences, including monthly capital review and portfolio control sessions, quarterly rolling financial forecasts, annual strategic business plans, and other recurring business stakeholder update forums. Collaborate and manage department and AMI program budget processes and hold VPs & Directors accountable for adherence to financial forecasts and plans.
- In partnership with AMI program delivery teams in MA and NY, support and help coordinate the management of OPEX and CAPEX expenditures (including resourcing management) against program budgets, in line with state regulatory approvals and commitments.
- Work in conjunction with program leaders, program delivery teams in MA and NY, relevant SMEs, and appropriate business stakeholders to define and deliver effective benefit realization plans in support of long-term business value generated through the deployment of AMI.
- Lead the implementation of the internal financial and benefits realization reporting framework and processes for the program to ensure consistent, accurate reporting of key program results for existing governance forums in MA and NY. Consistently work with program leadership and the delivery teams to seek areas of future improvement and opportunities.
- Provide leadership support for Program VPs and Directors, with clear ownership of managing financial-related challenges and asks.
- Support regulatory compliance work in MA and NY, where required.
Supervisory/Interpersonal- Experience Required
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Established proactive tactics to tackling challenges/issues and identifying areas for improvement
- Extensive understanding of finance and business processes with strong facilitation skills. Strong leadership skills with demonstrated experience leading efforts in cross-functional initiative and programs
- Demonstrated ability in relationship/stakeholder management to ensure mutually beneficial business outcomes
- Demonstrated ability to work cooperatively across departments and with contracted vendor teams to assure expected outcomes are achieved
- Demonstrated desire to develop new people leaders and delegate effectively
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree, Master's Degree preferred, and/or equivalent working experience in relevant financial/business areas
- Strong finance and planning skills with experience of being responsible for significant program budget build and oversight.
- Financial planning and reporting experience is required, understanding business planning process and utility regulation is preferred.
- Detail-oriented, independent self-starter, quick-learner, proactive, and analytical
- Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills. Ability to engage with diverse internal and external stakeholders, including external regulators.
- Proficiency in all Microsoft Office tools, Teams, SharePoint

Salary
$143,000 - $168,000 a year
Salary commensurate with location and experience
