Job Purpose
The Lead Process and Performance Manager, in Ops Support Process and Assurance role exists as a key dynamic element of the NY Operations Support organization which is comprised of diverse departments supporting major functions at National Grid.
In this role, you’ll support our Process and Assurance team goals to ensure NY Ops Support delivers on value propositions and commitments.
We do this with performance management/reporting, process improvement, data analysis and creative problem solving, and various 1st and 2nd line assurance activities to support the functions in NY Ops Support with their objective of driving the maturity of our organization.
This team supports the entirety of NY Ops Support including Land Management, Rights of Way, Facilities, Real Estate, and Property Capital Projects, Aviation, Fleet, Warehouse, and Environmental in NY. The work performed by this team is critical to ensure National Grid can complete our core work of safely and efficiently delivering energy to our customers.
Key Accountabilities
- Process Management:
- Leverage Lean Six Sigma and Project Management tools and principles to improve organization efficiency, effectiveness and safety
- Drive performance and process improvements by engaging with our Ops Support teams and learning and internalizing business processes
- Development of value cases for opportunities to prove efficiency and other investment benefits in our business
- Performance Management:
- Develop metrics that demonstrate quality, time, or cost performance and reporting to monitor
- Development of technical reports that monitor performance at department and organization levels
- Lead new performance management approaches by leveraging the latest data-driven techniques (including data engineering, visualization) for storytelling and analysis (with application of machine learning and other AI)
- Stakeholder Management: Develop strong relationships at all levels of the organization and leverage those relationships to improve overall organization performance
- Change Management: Manage and lead change in the organization to optimize new product or process adoption and ensure smooth transitions to new ways of working
Interpersonal- Experience Required
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills; demonstrated ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing; leverage data to present information in a clear and concise manner, maintain effective working relationships with demonstrated maturity with various levels within the organization
- Must be self-directed with strong customer focus, motivated and have high personal standards of excellence, commitment, integrity and confidentiality
- Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks at any given time, while maintaining strong attention to detail and meeting strict deadlines
Qualifications
- Experience using process and project management tools; managing projects and process improvements with demonstrated change management skills
- Experience with Microsoft Office suite; Excel and PowerPoint proficiency
- A strong understanding of current and emerging technology best practices and trends
- Experience with financial management, benefits management, measurement and realization linked to business results
- Bachelor's degree with 5 years of experience (or equivalent) with project management, KPI development, contract management, process excellence and performance management and measurement techniques
Desired knowledge and Experience:
- Ability to grasp complex issues and effectively integrate, compile, and analyze information and data
- Lean Six Sigma Certification
- Experience using Power BI to create data visualizations and performance dashboards
- Experience with SQL, Snowflake, reporting and data modelling
- Ability to successfully collaborate and drive cooperation across diverse teams with potentially conflicting goals and objectives-strong internal and external stakeholder engagement, with experience communicating at the executive level.

Salary: $114,000 - $134,000
This position has a career path which provides for advancement opportunities within and across bands as you develop and evolve in the position; gaining experience, expertise and acquiring and applying technical skills. Internal candidates will be assessed and provided offers against the minimum qualifications of this role and their individual experience.
