Senior Transformation Manager
Warwick, GB, CV34 6DA Derby, GB, DE74 2TZ
About us
At National Grid, we have a great track record of delivery across the UK and US and our business areas play a vital role in connecting millions of people to the energy they use, while continually seeking ways to make the energy system cleaner. We’re committed to net zero for our own emissions by 2050, and so we have a huge ambition ahead of us to deliver the Energy Transition within our jurisdiction to achieve net zero ambitions.
We’re planning to invest around £35 billion across the next five years and this significant scale of investment in our energy networks will unlock economic growth and enable the increasingly digital, electrified and decarbonised economies of the future. This makes us one of the biggest green investors in the sector, allowing us to revolutionise and decarbonise the energy future across electricity, gas and renewables for the benefit of everyone.
A large part of this investment will be across the UK within the Electricity Transmission (ET) business where we maintain the high-voltage electricity transmission network in England and Wales. We take electricity generated from windfarms and other power sources and transport it through our network of pylons, overhead lines, cables, and substations. It then goes on to separate lower voltage local distribution networks, which connect directly to homes and businesses.
